Although GreatPool remains a very popular site, it has been impossible to maintain it over the past few months. My "real job" has been so time-consuming that it just hasn't left enough time in the day. I rarely get to play anymore, let alone keep up with additions to this site. There have also been both both server and software failures in the past couple of months. Bringing those back on line would have required resources that were just not affordable for a free site such as this.

Since I know that a lot of people enjoy the site and recommend it to others, I didn't just want to pull the plug and leave everyone wondering what happened. So I have decided to scale down the site, reformat the most important information, and keep the information available as long as possible.

There will be no additions or updates to this site in the forseeable future, and if, for any reason, it becomes impossible to maintain the site, it may disappear without notice. For that reason, I have removed all copyrights and restrictions from the site, so anyone is free to copy, print, and use the information however they wish--no need to ask permission.  That was the reason for reformatting the site into the fewest number of pages with multiple articles on each. It is now much easier to save or print the entire information from this site if desired.

It was fun while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end. I sincerely hope your game was improved along the way!
